Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the death of a security man and the injury of three others when their patrol was hit in a terrorist attack on Tuesday in Al-Musawara district in Qatif province.

The security spokesman of the Interior Ministry, Maj. Gen. Adel Faleh Al-Otaibi and the injury of three other security men, who were taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities opened an investigation into the terrorist attack, he said.

Al-Musawara is a district which the Saudi government has slated for development. It contains many abandoned houses which terrorists use for their hideouts. Last month, a security officer was martyred and another injured when workers of a contracting company came under fire while working on a housing project.
