Telangana State Formation Day is being celebrated on a grand scale across the state today as the state concludes its decennial celebrations of its formation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished to Telangana people their Statehood day today. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that every Indian takes great pride in the state’s contribution to national progress. He added that this state is blessed with a rich history and a very vibrant culture. The Prime Minister said that he is committed to continuously working for the state’s growth in the times to come.
The national flag flies high as Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and top leaders of all political parties and at the government offices, the tri colour has been hoisted. Jaya Jaya he Telangana, has been released officially on the occasion. Earlier, he paid tributes to the martyrs who laid their lives in pursuit of separate statehood for Telangana.
In a special message, Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi assured the people that the Congress government will fulfil all assurances given by the Revanth Reddy led government in the state. Later, Addressing the people of the state, the Chief Minister sought support from all social sections of the state including political parties, legal, media and administration to make the state a model one to the entire world. Stating that there are certain challenges when the status of common capital for Hyderabad is coming to an end, he said all spending issues in irrigation and other properties will be resolved fast. The national flag has been hoisted at all political parties, district headquarters on the formation day. Over ten contingents of state armed forces have participated in the parade and several police and senior officials have been awarded on the occasion. The carnival of festivities will continue till late night at Tank Bund of Hussain Sagar too.
