TIA NEWS /
Supreme Court today set aside the Patna High Court order granting bail to controversial RJD leader Shahabuddin in a murder case. The apex Court has directed Shahabuddin to surrender and has asked the Bihar Govt to take steps to take him into custody forthwith.
Supreme Court also asked the trial court to expeditiously conclude Rajiv Roshan murder case allegedly involving Shahabuddin. The state government had moved the Supreme Court last week seeking cancellation of Shahabuddin’s bail saying it was not properly heard by Patna High Court while granting him the bail.
Shahabuddin, who was in jail for 11 years in connection with dozens of cases, was granted bail by the Patna High Court on 7th of this month. He was released from Bhagalpur jail on 10th.
