Young and dynamic Sanskrit scholar Dr. Jahan Ara will share her Sanskrit journey with the audience in an interview dialogue sequence at weekly magazine ‘Sanskrit Saptahiki’ on All India Radio (AIR) on Saturday December 20.

All India Radio’s weekly magazine ‘Sanskrit Saptahiki’ will complete 25 episodes of its telecast on Saturday. This weekly Sanskrit magazine is presented by All India Radio every Saturday at 11:20 AM and the repeat program airs every Sunday at 11:20 AM.

On the special occasion of its 25th edition, Dr. Jahan Ara will share her Sanskrit journey with the audience in an interview dialogue sequence. Dr. Jahan Ara, who comes from Mau, in Uttar Pradesh, has created a record in Sanskrit research that reveals very interesting facts on Indian System knowledge.

Dr. Jahan Ara has extensively researched the plays of Mahakavi Kalidas and has also done remarkable research on the diagnosis of modern social problems reflected in the Mahabharata. Dr. Ara has been a postdoctoral fellow of Jamia Millia Islamia, giving inspiring lectures on Indian System knowledge.

Each edition of the ‘Sanskrit Saptahiki’ program starts with an inspiring ‘Subhashitam’, focusing on one of the important topics within the week, so this segment is called ‘Prasang’. Important news from around the world has been named ‘SaptahikiVartah’. A special interview dialogue with eminent Sanskrit scholars and thinkers is known as ‘GyanVigyanidarsini’. The ‘Balamanovallari’ segment is aired to showcase the lyrical talent of the students of the schools. In the next segment Country’s diverse language is displayed under ‘Ek Bharatam Shrestham Bharatam’ in which five sentences of one of the provincial languages are presented in Hindi and Sanskrit in each edition. This 20-minute Radio Sanskrit program concludes with ‘Anveekshkee’ under which the remarkable works of the great personalities of the country, Birth Day and Martyrs Day are remembered throughout the week.
