निजी परेशानियों के कारण रोहित वेमुला ने की आत्महत्या: जांच रिपोर्ट

Judicial commission under former Allahabad High Court Judge Justice A K Roopanwal has completed its enquiry and concluded that University of Hyderabad student Rohith Vemula committed suicide of his own volition.

The report says that the varsity’s act of expelling him and four other students from the hostel did not become a trigger for him to end his life.

In its report, the commission, set up by the Union HRD ministry, says that Vemula was a troubled individual and was unhappy for several reasons.

Quoting his suicide note, the report says that Rohith Vemula had his own problems and was not happy with worldly affairs.

His writing suggesting a tinge of frustration in the affairs, the also concluded that Vemula was not a dalit by caste.

The report, however, maintains that the university does not have a proper mechanism for redressal of the grievances of students in general and those from the reserved categories in particular.
