Given the summer season, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi has made its heat stroke unit functional to treat and manage patients suffering from heat stroke. Talking to Aakashvani News, Dr Amlendu Yadav, Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, said that the Heat Stroke Unit was made functional last year, and this year too, this unit is fully equipped with trained doctors and staff as well as state-of-the-art facilities to provide treatment to such patients. Dr Yadav said last year, around 70 such patients were admitted for treatment, and this year the number of such patients is expected to go up, for which all arrangements have been made at the Heat Stroke Unit.
