As tensions between India and Pakistan are on the rise in the wake of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, a Border Security Force (BSF) personnel has reportedly been detained by Pakistani Rangers, when he inadvertently crossed over the border line.
According to BSF sources, the incident happened when the said trooper posted at one of the gates at the Indo-Pak border in Ferozepur for the security of Indian farmers harvesting near the fence crossed over.
The sources have confirmed that BSF has asked for talks with the Rangers.
BSF scales down Retreat Ceremony at Attari and two other locations in Punjab

In view of the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam, a decision has been taken to scale down the ceremonial display during the Retreat Ceremony at Attari in Amritsar, Hussainiwala in Ferozepur and Sadki in Fazilka, in Punjab. No gate opening will be conducted even during the retreat ceremony. At the same time, no handshake will be done after lowering the Indian flag at the time of sunset as was the protocol.
Meanwhile, hundreds of tourists visiting the Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post to see the world-famous Retreat ceremony, today, expressed anguish over the attack and demanded that stern action should be taken against those responsible for it.
