Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has criticized the opposition saying that political secularists should desist from creating an atmosphere of fear among the minorities and misguiding them. Speaking at the inaugural function of Central Waqf Bhawan in New Delhi, Mr. Naqvi alleged that since independence funds meant for welfare of minorities were not well spent and looted by middlemen.
He also alleged that there is a competition among the so-called secularists to exploit these communities politically and due to this their development remained on paper only. Mr. Naqvi also said that minority communities should assess the NDA government on the basis of its work and not from the eyes of those who are responsible for their political exploitation.
