Five seats had fallen vacant following expiry of tenure of Mr.Sitaram Yechury, Mr.Abani Roy, Mohd.Amin, Mr.Sapan Sadan Basu and Mrs.Brinda Karat while one seat was vacated due to death of Arjun Sen Gupta. Election will take place on 22nd of this month.
