Appreciating the growing ties between India and Japan, the Japanese Ambassador to India Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu today said that next five years were crucial for the relationship of both the sides.
Speaking at a function organised by FICCI, Mr. Hiramatsu said, that Japan was looking for more business opportunities in India. He said, Japan was ready to support India in its infrastructure development growth.
“Japan is looking for more access to the Indian market. The two countries must now make efforts to take the bilateral relations to a newer level”, he said.
“We are committed to support India for initiatives such as Swachh Bharat, sanitation project, Ganga rejuvenation, women empowerment among others” Mr Hiramatsu said.
He hoped that New Delhi will provide more space to Tokyo in the field of investment and trade. He said, both the sides can also increase their cooperation in security and space area.
“We’re trying to connect all the associations and foster people-to-people connect through India-Japan Friendship Forum” said Ambassador Ms Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, Chair, India-Japan Friendship Forum at the session on Japanese Imperial Succession and India-Japan Relations in the new Reiwa Era.
