North Eastern European country in three Baltic republics Latvia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCOCI) has formally made Pradeep Mohanty, Managing Director of the Sledhammer Oil Tools Private Limited, representative for India.
Mr. Mohanty will play a bilateral role in promoting economic and business relations between the countries. After signing the agreement on a ceremony in Riga, capital of Latvia, the LCOCI announced it.
Latvia is one of Europe’s fastest growing countries. Pradeep Mohanty, who had recently joined Riga to attend the India-Latvia Business Conference, where he signed MoU with the representatives of Latvia Chamber of Commerce and Industries. During this, Mohanty also participated in a program organized on India’s foreign policy, in which the Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar was present as the Chief Guest. During this period, Mr. Mohanty gave him information about Latviya Chamber of India to become a representative and discussions on promoting relations and business of both the countries.
Mr. Mohanty is also the Vice President of Faridabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries and member of the executive committee of Faridabad Industries Association. He has been receiving the Best Exporter Award of the Government of India for the last six years.
After returning from Latvia, Pradeep Mohanty said that with his appointment, the economic relationship between India and Latvia will be strengthened and this European country will also help in finding better possibilities in the fields of medicine, health, telecommunication, IT and heavy engineering. Yoga is becoming increasingly popular among the people there. There is also a large port for exposure-import in Latvia, so there will be no problem in increasing trade between the two countries. He told that with the help of Latvia entrepreneurs, it would be easy to invest in various sectors of India
