Kerala reported 5711 new Covid cases and 4471 recoveries today. 53,858 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate increased to 10.60 percent. Kerala Health Minister K. K. Shailaja warned of a spike in Covid -19 cases following the recent local body polls in the state. Minister also asked the people to be extremely careful for the next two weeks and to avoid all kinds of congregation.
The total number of active Covid cases in the state is 61,604. Meanwhile 30 recent deaths were also confirmed due to Covid today, taking the death toll in the State to 2,816. At present, a total of 6,41,285 people have recovered in the state.
