Journalist murder: UP govt refuses to take action against minister

journalist murderEven as the family of deceased journalist Jagendra Singh is continuing its sit-in protest for the second day today at Khutar in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Senior cabinet minister in the state government, Shivpal Singh Yadav said in Lucknow that an inquiry is going on and no action will be taken against the minister Ram Murti Verma till the inquiry is completed.

Referring to the incident as an unfortunate event, Mr. Yadav reiterated that minister cannot be removed without an inquiry and police is already investigating the case. However state police has said that facts are being collected and minister could also be questioned in this case.
