A group of terrorists attacked a BSF camp near Srinagar airport early this morning. Terrorists hurled grenades and resorted to heavy firing at BSF camp in Humhama. Heavy firing and loud explosions could be heard in the area.
Three BSF personnel were reportedly injured in the attack. State Director General of Police Dr SP Vaid told media that security forces killed one terrorist, while operation is still continuing to neutralised the remaining terrorists.
Airport operations have been suspended as the security forces are fighting terrorists holed up in the 182nd battalion headquarters of BSF. This battalion is entrusted with security of runway of the Srinagar airport.
