In Jammu and Kashmir, two civilians were killed and three others injured in heavy mortar shelling by Pakistani troops in RS Pura, Arnia and Ramgarh sectors along the International Border in Jammu and Samba districts today.
BSF official said Pakistan Rangers resorted to heavy firing and shelling since morning targeting around 40 Border Out Posts in three sectors using mortar bombs, automatic and small weapons.
The BSF troops guarding the border retaliated effectively and the exchange of fire is still continuing. According to police, due to heavy shelling, over 1000 border dwellers have migrated from the area and schools along the border have been closed.
