Foreign Secretary Mr S Jaishankar arrived in Colombo today for talks with top leadership of the country and to pave way for the Joint Commission meeting that is scheduled to be held next month.
Mr Jaishankar is expected to meet the Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary, Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe later today. It is understood that all issues of bilateral interest will be discussed at the meetings, including solution to the fishermen poaching into each other’s waters and political reconciliation with the minority Tamil community in Sri Lanka.
