Rana, the Pakistani Canadian accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, has claimed before a court in Chicago that he provided material support to the terrorists at the behest of the Pakistan Government and its spy agency ISI and not the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna told media here that India was in constant touch with the Pakistan Government on the issue. He also made it clear that the dialogue process with Pakistan would continue.

When asked whether the revelations made by Rana would have an impact on India-Pakistan peace talks, Krishna said, there are no contradictions in that position as these are two different aspects. He said, peace talks will go on,cricket matches will go on and simultaneously India’s relentless efforts will continue to bring to justice all those responsible for the heinous crime against India in Mumbai.

Meanwhile sources said the request to question Rana, a key accomplice of Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Headley, by Indian investigators has been sent to the authorities in the US after gathering evidence about his involvement in the planning of the 26/11 attacks..
