Hearing a PIL seeking CBI probe into the case a division bench of the court consisting justices Abdul Mateen and Ashwini Kumar Singh directed the state government to file its affidavit with more details on the case by the 8th of this month.
The Petitioner has also sought a direction from the court for compensation of 25 lakh rupees to the victim’s family to be deducted from the policemen concerned.
The government has filed a status report of Crime Branch-CID, to the court, claiming investigation is going on in an impartial way. The investigating agency had arrested one more policeman yesterday in this case, claiming to be prime accused in the case.
