Talking to media here Tuesday she said that a committee is already working on the issue and the ministry will take suitable steps after the report.
Earlier in the day she met Home Minister P Chidambram and discussed the details of Lakhimpur murder case. Mrs Tirath also said that she had already written to the National Commission for Women to probe the matter. Yesterday she had alleged the state government for being insensitive and had called for the centre’s intervention.
