
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has welcomed the Union Budget 2025 stating that focus on tourism and marine sector is a big push. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, President of FICCI Harsha Vardhan Agarwal said that the major highlight of this year’s budget has been the reduction in the tax rate. He added that the exemption has been increased from 7 lakh rupees to 12 lakh rupees. Mr Agarwal said that the continuation in the CAPEX is a good sign. He said initiatives in the area of footwear, leather sector and tourism will help in boosting employment.
Talking exclusively to Akashvani, Vice President of FICCI, Anant Goenka, said that it was a very positive budget. He added that the major highlight was putting money in the hands of the middle class, as income tax of up to 12 lakh rupees has been abolished.
Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry CII Task Force on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Shardul Shroff said, the biggest benefit in this particular Budget is the exclusion of the middle class from personal taxation, almost completely.
