The Election Commission of India on Friday asked the Uttar Pradesh secondary education board to redraft its annual examination schedule for classes X and XII in consultation with the chief electoral officer of the state. The ECI on Thursday had put on hold the examination schedule announced by the UP board?.
Director UP secondary education board AN Verma said that it was decided at the meeting with EC officials that ?the Board will have to redraw ?its schedule in consultation with the CEO. The CEO will approve the dates for the examination, only then it will be released, said Verma.
As per the examination schedule released by UP board on Thursday, class X exams were slated from February 16, 2017 till March 6, 2017 while class XII exams were from February 16, 2017 to March 20, 2017.
