President Droupadi Murmu today said Divyangjans play an important role in the development of a country. While addressing the Purple Fest in New Delhi, the President said the Fest highlights the abilities of the Divyangjans. She also emphasized that Divyangjans have achieved remarkable achievements in various fields like literature, sports, science and others.
On the occasion, President Murmu highlighted government schemes like Pradhanmantri Divyasha Kendra and Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan for providing benefits to the Divyangjans. She added that these schemes are providing opportunities to the Divyangjans to become self-reliant and independent. She further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing opportunities to Divyangjans to grow with dignity. The President also underscored that the Divyangjans will play an important role in the country’s journey to Viksit Bharat 2047.
