Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a penalty of one crore 10 lakh rupees on Air India over the allegation of safety violations of flights operated by it on certain long range terrain critical routes. DGCA conducted a comprehensive investigation into the alleged violations and the prima facie investigation has revealed non-compliance by the airline. Afterward a show cause notice was issued to the official of Air India Limited.
