Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal today chaired a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of the party to decide on the name of the new Delhi Chief Minister. Speaking to the media after the meeting, party leader and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, Mr Kejriwal held one meeting with Committee members and Ministers in the Delhi government during the meeting. He said the legislative party meeting will be held tomorrow.

Mr Kejriwal had announced to step down from the post of Delhi chief minister yesterday. The AAP convenor is scheduled to meet Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena tomorrow evening.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has called Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement to resign a political stunt. He demanded Mr Kejriwal should dissolve his cabinet and call for elections. Mr Sachdeva claimed that Mr Kejriwal’s decision is another tactic in a long line of actions intended to deceive the people of Delhi.
