Randeep SurjewalaContinuing its attack on the government on the alleged build up by the Chinese Army in Doklam, the Congress on Thursday said the statement issued by the Ministry of external affairs did not say a word about the alleged construction by Chinese Army as depicted in the satellite imagery.

In a statement here, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala asked the government to be specific on whether the Chinese had constructed concrete posts, seven helipads, new trenches and placed several dozen armoured vehicles in Doklam.

‘The MEA Statement does not say a word about the alleged construction by Chinese Army as depicted in satellite imagery.

Surjewala said “India’s national security and strategic interests are being compromised as is now apparent from satellite imagery as also media reports available in public domain. It is most unfortunate that Modi Government has been caught snoozing while the Chinese have occupied the Doklam Plateau as per news reports and satellite imagery and a planning a repeat of Doklam 2.0 type of face-off. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, who has mastered the art of electoral rhetoric has miserably failed to ensure full protection of our borders”.
