Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuwar Das along with senior police officers began patrolling on different roads of capital Ranchi to bring communal situation under control which was disturbed by some communal elements in the city on Eid.

Sensing possible trouble, Chief Minister Raghuwar Das, along with DGP and Home Secretary, immediately hit the roads of Ranchi and started convincing the agitating groups at various places in the city to give up the agitation and road blockades.

Chief Minister came from Patna in the morning and from airport straightway went to disturbed areas and appealed to the people to maintain peace and law & order. He told that if any body try to disturb the city and the law & order situation, strong action will be taken against them.

Police sources have told that videography is being recorded to identify any troublemakers. So far, no significant loss of property or injury to anyone has been reported.

“Situation in Ranchi is under control as Section 144 has been clamped in the city” said DGP Jharkhand D K Pandey, who himself is on patrol and chased the crowds on the road of Ranchi. he said that rumor -mongers would be dealt severely.

The situation became tense in Doranda area of Ranchi Friday evening after some miscreants allegedly threw prohibited meat at a religious place.

This led to burning of several shops and youth club of that area. Few Hindu organizations including VHP have called Ranchi bandh and shops are closed today and traffic is minimum.

Today morning, people in large numbers came out on street and started demanding actions against the miscreants who threw meat at the religious place.
