CBI has filed the first charge sheet against suspended Noida Chief Engineer Yadav Singh and 13 others in a case of alleged corruption in handing out lucrative projects worth crores of rupees. The agency in a release said, investigation into 1,280 contract bonds amounting to 959 crore rupees signed during his tenure at Noida is still going on.
Yadav Singh was arrested on 3rd of last month. The agency has charged them with criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery under IPC, besides abuse of official position and bribery under Prevention of Corruption Act. CBI said, yesterday the charge sheet was filed in connection with alleged corruption in laying of underground electric cable in Udyog Marg and MP-1 Marg in Noida.
