BJP releases vision document for Assam Polls

Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley today released BJP vision document for poll bound Assam. Accusing Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi of encouraging infiltration, the BJP vision document promised complete sealing of Indo-Bangla border in Assam and law to deal with entities employing infiltrators.
The Vision document promises to reserve 35 percent seats for women in all government services.
“Congress tried to destroy and change the demography of the state by encouraging infiltration. Congress has been doing it for many decades and took no action,” Arun Jaitley said
The minister also dismissed Congress party’s accusations that the central government under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had cut funds to the state.
“Assam will get 148 per cent more in 2016-2020 compared to 2011-2015 due to higher tax devaluation of 42 per cent as against 32 per cent earlier”.
The document also promises to provide 24×7 electricity in every village and land patta to every landless family of the state if the BJP comes to the power.
Giving thrust on employment generation, BJP promised of setting up more than 100 BPOs in the state to absorb the unemployed youth.
The Vision Document also promised to implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for the employees of Assam.
Mr.Jatley said that the Vision Document was prepared after consulting with different sections of people.
Replying to a question, the Union Finance minister refuted the allegation of Assam Chief Minister that the NDA government is not providing funds to the state.
He said that as per the recommendation of the 14th Finance Commission, the allocation to Assam has been increased to 148 percent in comparison to the 13th Finance Commission.
