BJP National Executive has decided to reach out to the masses through social reform programmes. Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar who addressed the media said that BJP is the only party in India to go beyond electoral politics. He said, the first social reform activity of the party is to liberate India from manual scavenging.
The party members would visit the existing 23 lakh manual scavengers and ensure their rehabilitation. The party has also decided to ensure the success of “save the girl child teach her” campaign. Mr.Javdekar said, party workers will take it up as a gender sensitization campaign. He added that Swaachh Bharat and clean river programmes are going to be long term one and party workers will participate in it. In an answer to a question, Mr.Javdekar said the people of Bihar are fed up with Jungle Raj and would vote for BJP in the coming assembly elections.
The executive meeting lauded Prime Minster and the Party National President for taking the party for new high and making it world’s largest party. The backdrop of the main venue is a huge banner which says upliftment of poor is the party goal. Mr.Javedekar said that aim of the party is to ensure good governance with transparency.He said that this attitude is reflected in the recent spectrum and coal mine auctions.
According to Mr.Javedekar the executive has decided to launch mass contact and training programme for its members to make them social activists also. He added that with its transparency and good governance, the Modi government will be in power for at least 20 years. He accused the previous Congress government for destroying India and making the Indian farmers suffer
Party General Secretary P Muralidhar Rao said that BJP will launch a mass contact programme to dispel propaganda spread by the opposition over the land acquisition bill, and engage farmers in dialogue. This was disclosed by the party General Secretary P Muralidhar Rao in Bengaluru today. He said, BJP remains open to changes suggested by different parties and farmers.
Rao said, the party will brainstorm over the issue and will also come out with a nationwide outreach to publicise the good works of the government when it completes one year in power next month. He said, industrialisation is necessary and the party does not see any conflict between the industry and agriculture. Mr Rao said, the NDA government at the Centre is making farmers a stake-holder and their interest will not be compromised.
He said, BJP leadership has already made it clear that it is willing to talk to opposition parties and farmers and consider bringing changes in the bill.
