BJP has condemned the arrest of the Party’s Tamil Nadu Secretary S.G Suryah in connection with his recent tweet against the Madurai MP Venkatesan. Talking to media in New Delhi on Saturday, party spokesperson Tom Vadakkan said, Mr. Surya had written to the MP and a Communist Party of India Councilor for forcing a worker to resort to manual scavenging.

He said, when the issue was raised the BJP leader was arrested. He criticised the DMK government in the State for the action saying it is a vendetta politics as State Chief Minister M.K Stalin had said that he will take revenge after the recent arrest of State Minister Senthil Balaji by the ED in a cash for jobs case. Mr. Vadakkan also accused the Chief Minister of being involved in corruption.
