In Australian open tennis the mixed doubles team of Sania Mirza and Rajeev have been knocked out of the tournament, after they lost their QF tie against Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler 4-6, 6-7 in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
In an upset Unseeded Madison Keys has knocked out fourth seed Barbora Krejickova. The American won the contest 6-3, 6-2. She returns to the Australian Open semifinals after 2015.
In the other Women’s Singles quarterfinals, top seed Ashleigh Barty will be locking horns with American Jessica Pegula this afternoon for a place in the last four. Home favourite Barty defeated American Amanda Anisimova in the fourth round while 21st seed Pegula ease past fifth seed Maria Sakkari.
In Men’s Singles, the match between Sixth seed Rafael Nadal and Canadian Denis Shapovalov is underway
