Local people caught two persons, suspected to be among the assailants and handed over to the police. They were trying to flee from the spot near J J Hospital, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Rajkumar Vatkar told media. According to police the assailants targeted Kaskar in the firing but he was left unhurt however his driver Arif Syed Abu Bukha succumbed to the injury . Bukha was declared dead before admission to a hospital. Police were investigating whether the attack was a fall-out of gang war.
