The Chief Electoral Office is fully prepared for counting of votes in the Haryana State Assembly elections on 24th of October.

Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Aggarwal said, a total of 59 places have been identified where counting of votes would be undertaken. He said, permission has been sought from Election Commission to constitute two counting centres at Badshahpur.

The centre observers will remain present in the counting centres at the time of counting of votes. At present, EVMs and VVPAT machines have been kept in strong rooms which have been sealed and cameras have also been installed there. The Jawan of Central Paramilitary Forces is keeping eye on the strong rooms.

Counting of votes in the Maharashtra Assembly elections will be taken up on Thursday and is scheduled to be concluded the same day.

All preparations are in place for the counting of votes in the state to be held on Thursday.

In the three-tier security system, the 1,12,328 used EVMs and VVPAT machines are under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. The Administration too has geared up for counting of votes, 48 counting centres have been set up in the headquarters of all the Assembly constituencies. The entire counting process will be video recorded.
