The Assam police has arrested 24 miscreants including the main conspirator accused of attacking a doctor at a COVID care centre in Hojai district. They also damaged the infrastructure at the centre following the death of a Covid patient at Lanka in Hojai district. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma condemned the incident and asked the Health Minister to visit the spot.
He also instructed the police to nab the culprits. Health Minister Keshab Mahanta visited Nagaon civil hospital last night where the injured doctor was receiving treatment. Mr. Mahanta assured that the safety of the doctors and paramedics would be ensured. The incident was condemned by various organizations.
