Assam and Arunachal Pradesh today decided to form 12 District-Level Committees in both the states to resolve border disputes. This decision was taken during the second Chief Ministers Level Meeting held in Guwahati.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that the disputes to be resolved in time-bound manner. He said that the District Committees to do joint surveys in the disputed areas to find solutions. Both the states also agreed on terms on references that would work to find out the solution of the issue.
