Speaking in Nellore the YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy charged Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu of issuing contrary statements on the issue of special status to the state.

As precautionary measure, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada city police have taken over 250 people into preventive custody. Buses plying to Tirumala in Chittoor district were exempted from the bandh.
