Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari laid foundation stone for India-Sri Lanka Friendship Auditorium at Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, Trincomalee yesterday. The auditorium will be built under a grant assistance of 25 crore Lankan rupees. The assistance is a gift from Government of India to the island nation which displays India’s unwavering commitment towards capacity building of Sri Lanka’s Armed Forces.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhuri also visited the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy and gifted books to the trainees. The Indian Air Force Chief is on a four day visit to Sri Lanka which he will conclude tomorrow. Earlier during the visit, he had met Sri Lankan leadership and commanders of the armed forces of Sri Lanka. The visit facilitated discussions on common security challenges and enhancing capacity and capability building initiatives towards ensuring Security And Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR), as propounded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
