Neeraj Grover was allegedly murdered at Maria’s house in suburban Malad on the 7th of May, 2008.
Sessions court rejected the prosecution’s contention that Grover’s murder was premeditated, and acquitted Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, and her fiancé Emile Jerome Mathew, of the charge of murder. Jerome’s crime carries a maximum sentence of a life term. Susairaj’s crime, however, is punishable with three years’ imprisonment. Susairaj has already served that time during the trial. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced Friday.
