Police in Bangladesh have cordoned off two suspected militant hideouts in Borohat and Shokarhat areas of north-eastern Moulvibazar district this morning.
Police sources said, grenades were hurled targeting the police from the hideout in Borohat, while gunshots and explosions were heard from the other den. Both buildings are located within a 20 km area.
Police have evacuated residents of the buildings and have ordered on-lookers to get away from the operation area. Moulvibazar is the home town of Neo-JMB leader sacked Maj Ziaul Haq who according to police has a stronghold in the area and over whose head the police have placed a bounty of 20 lakh takas.
Meanwhile RAB have said they have arrested 4 suspected Neo-JMB militants from a house in Dohar area of Dhaka last night.
