Two terrorists were killed in a brief gunfight in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in today. Reports said that the encounter broke out when terrorists travelling in a vehicle were ambushed at Padgampora by the police and army check point in the district. In the retaliatory fire two gunmen were killed. Their identity and affiliation is being ascertained. Reports said that one terrorist was successful in fleeing the encounter spot.
The gunfight took place in the Pulwama district that is part of Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency going to polls on April 12.
Earlier, terrorists attacked the house of a sub-inspector yesterday night in Badgam district. They barged into the house of the policeman, ransacked the house and later set a car ablaze.
