AMN / Hyderabad

VENKAIAH NAIDUUnion Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said, the Congress party is not able to digest the growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad today, he said, disrupting parliament on flimsy grounds only shows the Congress party’s disrespect for democracy.

He said, political satire, comments and criticism are part of parliamentary democracy. Quoting Congress leaders who made indecent comments against the prime minister, Mr Naidu said they have never allowed anybody to come into power other than from the Gandhis’ family.

He further said, the Congress does not have any right to give sermons and teach about respecting seniors as they never practiced it.

On Tamil Nadu developments, Mr Naidu said, the BJP has no role to play as it has no representation in the state assembly. He said, the present state of affairs is an internal matter of the AIADMK.
