India and UAE today reaffirmed their deep commitment to building a comprehensive strategic partnership to elevate their multifaceted ties to an even higher level. They also resolved to harness the shared strengths to expand the partnership for the benefit of their countries, for peace, stability and prosperity in their region and for the betterment of the world.

PM Modi UAE crown princeIn a joint statement issued at the end of the three-day visit of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the common threat posed by terrorism to peace and security. They declared that there could be no justification for terrorism anywhere and condemned efforts, including by States, to use religion to justify, sustain and sponsor terrorism against other countries.

Sheikh Nahyan, who is also Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is on a three day visit to India today attended the Republic Day parade at Rajpath as Chief Guest.

During the visit, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed was accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet Ministers, senior officials and business leaders.

He and Prime Minister Naredra Modi held a wide ranging talks yesterday, after which 14 agreements were signed between the sides.
