Strongly rejecting RSS Leader Manmohan Vaidya’s remarks against continuing quota for an indefinite period, Union
Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has said that reservation was a Constitutional right which no one could scrap.
‘’Reservation is not a charity. It was provided by ‘Poona Pact’ between Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi and Baba Saheb Ambedkar,’’ Mr Paswan, the Dalit Minister in the Modi Government said in a series of tweets.
He pointed out that 85 per cent of the country’s population was being benefited by Reservation and it was impossible to abolish it.
‘’ Till the caste system continues in the country, reservation shall remain,’’ Mr Paswan said.
