Uttar Pradesh Assembly Tuesday witnessed uproarious scenes as BJP members objected over the remarks by parliamentary affairs minister Azam Khan against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his family. They termed that remark as unparliamentary and unethical.
Agitated BJP legislators stormed into the well raising slogans against government and Azam Khan for personal remarks against PM Modi.
Earlier Azam Khan said that a condemnation resolution should be passed in the house as union health minister JP Nadda, despite his promise to send 65000 mosquito nets for prevention of dengue in UP, did not send it. Azam said that when head of the union government does not fulfill his poll promises then how can one trust it’s ministers for their promises.
During his statement, Azam made some personal comments against PM Modi regarding his love for Pakistan and not taking care of his family members enraged the BJP members.
Initially they walked out in the protest and later stormed into the well after returning into the house. They were seen shouting slogans against Azam Khan demanding his removal as minister.
Speaker appealed them to let the Question hour complete but of no avail. Seeing no end of the commotion, the Speaker adjourned the house initially for 20 minutes and then for 10 more minutes.
Meanwhile BJP members were squatting in the well with no intention to leave it unless their demand is conceded of removing the remarks against PM from the proceedings of the house.
