The Supreme Court today rejected a petition challenging BJP President Amit Shah’s acquittal in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. A bench, comprising Justices SA Bobde and Ashok Bhushan, was hearing a plea filed by a former bureaucrat and social activist.

The petitioner had challenged the Bombay High Court order which had upheld the discharge of the BJP President by the trial court in the case. The apex court said, the petitioner has no locus standi in criminal matter.
