BJP and Congress immediately hit out at Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan for his controversial statement that he will raise the issue of the lynching of a Muslim man in Bisada village at the United Nations.

BJP Secretary, Siddarth Nath Singh said UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should ask Azam Khan to resign, as he has shown disrespect to the Constitution of India. He said Dadri lynching incident is the failure of law and order under Samajwadi Party government. He termed it unfortunate that a Minister who is holding constitutional post is acting in such a manner.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said it is an attempt to undermine India’s sovereignty. He wanted to know whether Azam Khan has Chief Minister’s sanction to approach UN.

Uttar Pradesh minority welfare and urban development minister Azam Khan today created a political storm, making controversial statement that he will raise the issue of the lynching of a Muslim man in Bisada village at the United Nations. Addressing a press conference at Lucknow Azam Khan gave a strange logic that the Prime Minister has been raising local issues at international forums, so he also, will raise the rising cases of communal violence at the UN.
