RSS has said its name should not be dragged into Dadri lynching controversy and people responsible for the crime should be punished. In an interview to an English daily, Sangh Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya said the incident could have happened because of fringe elements. He said it is an isolated incident and should be seen in isolation.
Mr Vaidya said one should wait till a proper inquiry is conducted instead of leveling allegations. Mr Vaidya’s remarks came on the backdrop of allegations by some quarters that RSS was behind the incident. 50 year old Akhlaq was lynched by a mob for allegedly consuming beef in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh last week.
