External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today said the Global South expects India to articulate the region’s concerns in front of the global stage. Addressing the 5th Kautilya Economic Conclave in New Delhi on the theme “India and the World: Adaptive by Design”, Dr Jaishankar stated that India voices concerns of the Global South countries, including concerns relating to the four Fs – food, fuel, fertiliser and finance.
The External Affairs Minister remarked that India’s approach of multialignment enables it to engage with all important players in the world, including US, Russia and China. He termed US as one of India’s principal strategic partners, largest economic and trade account and major critical defence partner. He maintained that in this age of flux, India should confidently push ahead on every front. He opined that the world is moving towards multipolarity whose architecture and geometry are very different from the way it used to be.
