The US Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), along with the Oregon Air National Guard, held Airman-to-Airman Talks (A2AT) with the Bangladesh Air Force to strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries, the US Embassy in Dhaka said.
In a post on Sunday (September 27), the embassy said the A2AT serves as a key bilateral forum that allows both sides to align their priorities and activities while enhancing military-to-military engagement.
The talks come amid continued defence cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States. US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen recently discussed bilateral relations and defence cooperation with Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman during a meeting in Dhaka.
The Oregon Air National Guard is Bangladesh’s partner under the US State Partnership Programme and works with PACAF to support joint engagements, training and cooperation between the two air forces.
The latest interaction highlights Washington’s continued engagement with Dhaka in the defence sector as both countries seek to expand security cooperation.
