Mizoram celebrated its 39th State Day on Friday, with greetings pouring in from the country’s top leadership, including the President, Vice President and Prime Minister.

President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her wishes to the people of Mizoram through social media, describing the state as blessed with pristine natural beauty, a rich cultural heritage and enterprising citizens. She noted that Mizoram continues to inspire the nation through its remarkable contributions and steadfast commitment to national development. The President also expressed her hope for the sustained progress and prosperity of the people.

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan highlighted Mizoram’s abundant natural beauty, diverse landscapes, rich flora and fauna, and extensive forest cover. He commended the state’s high literacy rate and vibrant culture, stating that it stands as a model of social progress and community harmony. He wished the state continued sustainable growth and balanced development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Mizoram as widely known for its striking scenery and enduring cultural traditions. He praised its strong community spirit and gracious people, whose values of kindness and compassion set an example. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Mizoram would continue to achieve new milestones in the years ahead.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended warm greetings and encouraged the people to uphold the state’s reputation for peace and harmony.

Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda also conveyed his wishes, lauding the natural beauty of Mizoram and the industrious spirit of its people. He praised the state’s culture of happiness and mutual respect.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju greeted the people, stating that Mizoram’s vibrant culture, unity and strength make it truly special. He wished the state continued progress marked by harmony and prosperity.

Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya M. Scindia described Mizoram’s journey to statehood as inspiring and praised its peaceful environment. He extended his best wishes for a joyful State Day celebration.
